Full Job Description
The post holder will be an autonomous clinician who will deliver nursing care in the Treatment Rooms service.
The post holder will provide a high standard of care, utilising clinical skills in the assessment, planning and implementation of pro-active care to a community population with nursing needs attending the Trafford Treatment Rooms service.
The post holder will work in close collaboration with other professionals/stakeholders within the Trafford and/or Manchester footprint., Participate in providing a high quality nursing service, utilising clinical knowledge and skills to effectively manage patients with a nursing need who attend the Treatment Rooms service.
Undertake holistic assessment of patients and develop, implement and evaluate appropriate programmes of care for patients
Participate in the co-ordination of multi-disciplinary input to patients.
Providing professional leadership through being a role model, mentor and practice educator to junior members of the team and students in response to patient/client need and service demand.
Participate in providing cost-effective, co-ordinated and comprehensive clinical care based on the best current knowledge of treatment outcomes, with attention to safety, cost, invasiveness, simplicity, acceptability, adherence and efficacy.
Ensure that the nursing care of patients is based on valid evidence and conducted in accordance with relevant guidelines, formularies and/or protocols.
Liaise with members of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure appropriate plans of care are implemented for patients.
Demonstrate safe clinical decision making.
Continue to develop the role of Treatment Rooms staff nurse in accordance with changing client needs and in accordance with the Scope of Professional Practice (NMC).
Demonstrate a contribution to local implementation of Clinical Governance.
