Tree Officer (Arboricultural Asset Officer)

London Borough of Harrow are seeking a professional Arboriculture Asset Officer to support and provide arboricultural advice to ensure the effective delivery of the tree service. The Arboriculture Asset Officer will inspect and take action as appropriate to deal with dangerous trees in relation to the relevant section of the Local Government (Misc Provisions) Act 1976 and work with the contracts team, where required, in the planning and programming of proactive and reactive work schedules, including creating and passing works orders to third party contractors. This is a fixed term contract for 6 months. About you

• Be educated to GCSE, or equivalent, or able to demonstrate relevant experience.
• Have a National Diploma in Arboriculture, or equivalent.
• Have working knowledge of the Local Government (Misc Provisions) Act 1976.
• Have working knowledge of the Highways Act 1980.
• Have experience of working effectively with third party contractors.
• Have experience of working in an arboriculture function.
