Trending News Writer

If you're a science and nature news hound then the new role of Trending News Writer for one of the world's biggest science websites, Live Science, could be for you. We are looking for someone to help build, develop and grow our news output. What you'll be doing... The Trending News Writer needs to be someone who can identify the most interesting and important breaking news stories for our audience and ensure they are covered promptly and with an exclusive twist. Reporting to the Editor-in-Chief, you'll make sure breaking news stories are published on the most exciting events, and your creativity will shine as you develop fresh angles and spin up new features.

• Experience as a digital writer ( encompassing news) on an editorial website
• Someone looking to develop the way we approach news
• Knowledge on how to balance an article - delivering authority alongside brevity to entertain the reader while delivering concise information
• A desire to grow new channels using new ideas and keeping informed of industry developments and trends
