Full Job Description

We are seeking a Trial Coordinator to join the Oxford Centre for Anxiety Disorders and Trauma research group, based in Paradise Square, Oxford. You'll be working on an exciting multi-site randomised control trial (RCT) led by Professor Anke Ehlers at the University of Oxford in collaboration with Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust to consider how internet cognitive therapies for social anxiety disorder (SAD) and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) compare with current NHS psychological treatment as usual (TAU) when delivered by NHS staff to patients with comparable presentations. The role will involve supporting Professor Anke Ehlers and the research team by assisting in the trial preparation, planning and delivery of the trial, organising therapist training, data collection, preparation and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data on a range of variables so that the research objectives are met. If you have working knowledge of RCT research methodologies, NHS R&D procedures and a strong background in statistical analysis then we'd love to hear from you!,

  • Assist in the collection of data, including liaising with trial therapists service users, and trial sites
  • Assist with ethics application, patient recruitment, consent and data collection at the sites
  • Contribute to the preparation and analysis of quantitative data, including inputting data, dataset cleaning and management and quantitative data analysis and critical evaluation and interpretation under the supervision of the PI.
  • Present regular progress reports on the project to the research team.
  • Assist with write up results of work and contribute to the production of research reports and publications.
  • Carry out routine administrative duties as required, e.g. arranging research team meetings.
  • Carry out any other duties designated by PI manager, and which fall within the general ambit of the post.
