Full Job Description

Strategy & Growth Plan:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies to enhance engagement and conversions across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and YouTube.
  • Spearhead growth initiatives and campaigns to elevate Tropic Skincare's social presence.
  • Key focus on TikTok growth: Lead the TikTok channel strategy, with a focus on launching and optimising TikTok Shop in the UK.
  • Content & Collaboration:
  • Lead content creation efforts, including developing and featuring in content that supports the brand's message and engages, educates and entertains the audience.
  • Collaborate across departments to integrate social media with broader marketing, PR, and corporate initiatives.
  • Leadership & Team Management:
  • Manage the social media team and projects, fostering a collaborative environment among coordinators, designers, copywriters, and community managers.
  • Directly supervise and develop the Social Media Coordinator and ensure alignment of content creation, scheduling, and performance reporting.
  • Analytics & Performance:
  • Conduct market analysis and manage SEO optimisation to enhance content discoverability and drive traffic.
  • Regularly analyse social media performance to adapt and refine strategies, reporting insights to stakeholders.
  • Engagement & Community Management:
  • Design interactive features and manage community interactions to boost user experience and community spirit.
  • Support the customer support team with community management and give guidance/ideas for customer interactions.
  • Develop and enforce protocols for social media crisis management to safeguard and promote the brand's reputation.

    Are you a creative, innovative and engaging communicator with a love of skincare and have your finger on the pulse of all things social? TROPIC looking for an experienced Social Media Manager with strong awareness of our category - and the confidence to front our brand awareness plans on social!, Highly motivated, creative, and organised with an enthusiasm for connecting with people.
  • Confident presenter, you must be able and willing to appear in our social content regularly and present often to senior stakeholders.
  • At least 5-7 years' experience within social media management, with a track record of success in growing a brands' channels.
  • A love of customer engagement, with the goal of turning browsers into customers and customers into advocates.
  • Strong attention to detail - with a keen eye for spelling and grammar.
  • Strong creative eye with a solid understanding of social media best practice and content.
  • Extensive knowledge of social media platforms, you stay abreast of upcoming planned updates and new emerging platforms/features.
  • Experience launching on TikTok shop would be a huge advantage.

  • Full time role: 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday (with occasional attendance required at evening or weekend PR/corporate events).
  • Hybrid working with a minimum of 3 days a week required in the office.
  • Office is located just three minutes' walk from Beddington Lane Tram stop, which is connected to East Croydon and Wimbledon - both 20 minutes away. Approx. 30 mins travel time from Southwest London, 35 mins from South London (Brixton, Stockwell etc.)
  • Position is available immediately.
  • Starting salary of £45,000, negotiable based on experience. We'd encourage anyone who thinks they could add value to our business to apply!
