Full Job Description

Daily ward rounds

- Prescribing

- Discharge summaries

- Reviewing patients on Medical ambulatory care ward

- Answering bleeps

- Ordering and reviewing bloods and radiology requests for inpatients

- Phlebotomy

- Updating inpatient handover list

- Attend MDTs

- Attending medical handovers

- Assisting in bone marrow procedures and training to complete independently

- Attending outpatient clinics and completing clinic letters

- Audit and Quality improvement

Barts Health NHS Trust is looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals to take up Trust Grade Fy2/FY3 equivalent position within Haematology at Newham University Hospital. These posts would be ideally suited to a person keen to pursue a career in Haematology and who is looking for some wide ranging clinical and laboratory experience before applying for an IMT post or for a candidate who on completion of IMT wishes to gain experience in haematology ahead of applying for specialist training.
