Full Job Description

We are looking for a trust doctor to cover a gap from 05/02/2025 - 05/08/2025 in our Paediatric Department based at Whipps Cross Hospital. The post holder will be a key member of the medical team responsible for the care of children on our 26 bed general Paediatric ward and Level II status Neonatal Unit. As part of the medical team, the post holder will also be required to attend children in the Paediatric A&E department, Paediatric Assessment Unit, labour ward and postnatal wards as appropriate, The post holder will be a key member of the medical team responsible for the care of children on our 26 bed general Paediatric ward and Level II status Neonatal Unit. The Paediatric service at Whipps Cross is renowned not only for training but also for the breadth of experience available due to the diverse demography and epidemiology of the local population.

Although this post is not recognised for training, the position will undoubtedly provide valuable experience to those wishing to secure future posts with training recognition. Examples of experience available to potential candidates include high dependency Paediatrics, intensive care neonates, Paediatric specialist clinics and teaching.
