Trust Grade Doctor in CAMHS

The appointee will work within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, they will be expected to provide high quality mental health and medical services with the responsibility for the prevention, diagnosis, therapy and treatment of acute mental health problems to people resident within the Grimsby catchment area.

This post will mainly involve outpatient clinics and support to the CAMHS crisis and home treatment teams. The appointee will be involved in the assessment and management of children and young persons referred to the team in outpatient, acute hospital (crisis) and in the community settings in conjunction with MDT.

Main duties of the job

To provide a high quality medical service to CYP referred to YMM

To provide with other professionals:-

an assessment service for new referrals to YMM

formulation of individual care and treatment programmes

review care and treatment programmes in keeping with local

and national standards

To work as part of a multidisciplinary team

To promote and maintain a community philosophy in all aspects of practice, enabling a user led and informed service.
