Full Job Description

Kettering General Hospital is a defence positive trust, supporting veterans, reservists, spouses & their families, and cadet armed forces volunteers, utilising their unique skills and experiences within the hospital workforce. To be considered for the post, you must have full GMC Registration and it is desirable to hold MRCPCH or equivalent. You should have appropriate training and experience in general paediatrics and neonatology.

The post has clinical responsibilities covering services to children within the Acute Trust working as a team with Consultants, Registrars, SHOs and foundation year 1 Doctors, to provide elective and emergency children's acute service for children of North Northamptonshire.

Our neonatal Unit is returning to a level 2 or 'Local' neonatal unit from September. It is part of the East Midlands Neonatal Operational Delivery Network (EMNODN) and is designated to provide intensive care for gestations twenty-seven weeks and above. Our cot numbers are 2 intensive care, 6 high dependency, and 8 special care cots., Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest employers in the area and we are on an exciting journey.
