Trust Grade SPR (ST3 level) Colorectal Surgery | Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust

Applicants are invited to apply for a Trust Grade SPR (ST3+ level) post in Colorectal Surgery for one year on a fixed term contract. This post will be based at Charing Cross Hospital but may include cross site working.

The successful candidate will be working at the middle grade level as a Trust Grade Registrar with previous experience in Surgery and looking to further develop their knowledge and skills in the area.

Working as part of one of the foremost cancer centres in the country, the post-holder will work with senior consultant colleagues to deliver excellent care for our patients.

Applicants must be eligible for registration or hold full registration with the GMC and will be expected to participate in a 1:8 on-call rota. They must have the ability to organise and manage outpatient priorities, surgical waiting lists, operating lists and rotas as well as demonstrate strong communication and team working skills.

The department has a growing quality improvement, research and audit unit and involvement in research is also actively encouraged.

Post-holders will be working at the middle grade level as a Trust Grade Registrar and be

part of a team of 8 at the middle grade level within the General Surgery department.

Although this post is not a recognised training post, you will have a wide opportunity to develop your surgical skills and you will be expected to have a strong academic commitment and to be part of the ongoing academic and audit activities of the department.

You will be part of a 1 in 8 on call rota.
