Full Job Description

The successful applicant will participate in an 11 person SpR rota providing 7-day cover to the acute medicine service (The Acute Medical Unit (Crick and Darwin wards), Same Day Emergency Care unit and High Dependency Unit). The postholder may also participate in the medical take rota, with responsibility for either acute admissions or HDU/ward cover both in and out-of-hours. There will also be opportunities to participate in audit, clinical governance activities and teaching amongst others. Essential

  • GMC registration
  • Full MRCP (NB: if you have been unable to complete PACES due to delays in the application process please contact us about your application)
  • Solid grounding in clinical medicine
  • Evidence of involvement in audit and/or presentations
  • Sound general medical knowledge
  • Sound communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Keen to learn and train in busy Major Acute Hospital
