Full Job Description
We have and excellent opportunity for a Trust Registrar to join our well-established Renal Medicine Team at Basildon Hospital.
You will be based within the Renal Medicine department and your role will include work in general medicine, geriatrics and specialist medicine and you will be expected to carry out their duties in accordance with an agreed timetable to include some early morning and evening work with a commitment to the Acute on Call rota shared with other Middle grade Doctors.
You will have the opportunity to attend speciality specific teaching as well as a weekly medical unit grand round and a multi-disciplinary radiology meeting and PACES teaching (organised by the College Tutor and the RCP Associate Tutor) in a division that has a well-structured teaching timetable and an excellent undergraduate teaching programme and undertake OSCES for final MBBS., You will be part of a friendly, supportive team where Multi-Disciplinary Team work is envisaged as a key component the way this Trust works and will involve Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) discussion with other colleagues.
You will be responsible for the continuing care of predominantly renal patients in your charge, including all administrative duties associated with patient care undertaking ward duties under the direction of senior colleagues, providing evidence-based care for patients in a multi-disciplinary setting.
