Full Job Description

Please note, as per updated UKVI guidelines, from April 2017 candidates appointed to any role that we are able to request sponsorship for a Tier 2 (general) visa will be required to provide an overseas criminal record certificate for themselves and any adult dependents from each country that they have lived in consecutively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years., Candidates must hold MBBS or equivalent and be expected to have completed foundation 1 year training, and ideally have experience at F2, CT1/2 or ST1/2/3 level.The successful applicant will be expected to have full registration with the General Medical Council with a licence to practise.

  • To provide in-patient and out-patient care for patients referred with suspected stroke or TIA, stroke mimics and medical outliers on the Stroke Unit.
  • To participate in clinical and other service activities with the object of ensuring a high standard of patient care
  • To contribute to the development of clinical quality and effectiveness in other clinical areas where these overlap with developments in stroke.
  • To take part in the Unit's research programme.

    £41,750 to £64,288 a year (Banded) + 50 % on call Rota per annum
