Full Job Description
The role of Trustee is expected to take an average of approximately 6 hours per month. This includes preparation for and attendance at an average of one Board or Committee meeting per month, as well as occasional events. All Trustees are appointed for a 3-year term, with the potential for serving up to a maximum of three termsWhat difference will you make? Trustees are responsible for the overall governance and strategic direction of the charity, developing the organisation's aims, objectives and goals in accordance with the governing document, legal and regulatory guidelines. We are passionate about promoting good mental health. We're committed to supporting local people living with mental health problems and dementia and are looking for new Trustees who share that passion.

South East London (SEL) Mind was formed through the merger of Bromley, Lewisham & Greenwich Mind and Lambeth & Southwark Mind in January 2024. We are a highly regarded, innovative local charity working alongside people with mental health problems and dementia in their local communities to improve their quality of life. With an annual turnover of £8m, 250 staff and over 200 volunteers, we are one of the largest charities in the Mind network. We are seeking to add to the expertise of our experienced, professional Board of Trustees. All our Trustees need excellent communication skills, the ability to work effectively as part of a team, strategic vision and good, independent judgement.
