The Golden Thread Alliance is an Academy Trust based in North Kent, made up of 9 primary schools each with its own unique character and history.
Despite their differences all schools subscribe to the Golden Thread values of Respect, Equality, Courage, Integrity, Ambition, Kindness and Responsibility.
The board of Trustees are a passionate group of professionals from various walks of life, dedicated to ensuring that the children in our schools get the best possible opportunities.
They are seeking to increase the diverse nature of the board to better represent the unique and varied nature of our communities.
There is a vacancy for a person with an understanding of the importance of education as a vehicle for social change and a passion for the Trust values and equality agenda.
An understanding and commitment to high quality safeguarding procedures is also very desirable.
The Golden Thread Alliance is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020 and therefore is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure. In line with KCSIE guidance, paragraph 220, all candidates who are shortlisted will be subject to an online search. This search is not part of the shortlisting process itself and all shortlisted candidates will have the opportunity to address any issues of concern resulting from the search.
Two references are also required prior to commencement of employment.
