Tunnelling Apprentice

We are excited to be looking for a Tunnelling Apprentice to join our Birmingham office. You will work towards achieving a Level 7 qualification at University of Warwick., Reporting to one of the team leads within the Tunnels discipline this individual will be a key resource in projects for a range of internal and external clients. Our tunnels team focusses on a range of small to large scale projects from pipejack to complex underground caverns, utilising techniquest from empirical methods to 3D FE analyses. Work undertaken can be structural and/or geotechnical in nature. The candidate will work within project teams, the role is likely to include;

• Use technological advances to improve quality, results and efficiency
• Preparation of designs and drawings
• Writing technical reports
• Participate in internal technical and professional activities
• Proactive approach to career development
  
  A BEng in Civil Engineering
• A flexible and proactive self-starter who's passionate about developing new skills
• The ability to adapt and prioritise whilst juggling work and study priorities
• Enthusiasm and curiosity to apply your skills to solve real-world problems
• Empathy and listening skills to help you truly understand our clients' requirements
• A well-rounded person - have you travelled around the world? Worked in a bar? Been captain of a sports team or volunteered for a charity? Tell us - we're looking for people with interesting stories and experiences!
