Full Job Description
- Lead a team of Financial Lines claims specialists
- Handle a caseload of large or contentious claims and facilitate the resolution of coverage issues
- Mediate between insurers, lawyers, adjusters and claimants at face to face meetings
- Negotiate the settlement, collection and payment of claims with clients and underwriters
- Provide guidance on coverage issues.
- Offer support and advice to clients and/or the branch network on pre and post loss claims
- Provide guidance on notifiable circumstances and block notifications.
- Report to the business on claims trends, new and emerging risks and reasons why claims are declined
- Attend pre renewal client meetings and assist with new business tenders and presentations
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of policy wordings, carry out wording reviews and drive improvements to existing products working with brokers to influence the market How this opportunity is different In this key role we are looking for an individual that can proactively find solutions to claims issues, has experience in the London market, existing insurer relationships and understands a range of policies within the Financial Lines arena. This role is an exciting opportunity for the successful individual to join a team in a senior position and to support our clients and business.
- 5 + years of Financial Lines Claims knowledge (PI / D&O/Crime / Cyber)
- Excellent client relationship management & customer focus
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Ability to work on own initiative as well as in a team environment
- Ability to lead and support other team members
- Achievement and results focused
- IT literate - email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, databases
- Self-disciplined, self-motivated and organised
