HSBC Asset Management (AM), the investment management business of the HSBC Group, serves HSBC's worldwide customer base of retail and private clients, intermediaries, corporates and institutions invested in both segregated accounts and pooled funds. HSBC Asset Management fulfils its purpose of connecting HSBC's clients with investment opportunities around the world through an international network of offices in approximately 30 countries, delivering global capabilities with local market insight.
The global liquidity fund range encompasses a broad range of solutions ranging from HSBC's flagship AAA liquidity funds solutions to in-country local fund ranges and separately managed account structures. In total, given the global network of the HSBC group, the global liquidity business manages over $100bn in AUM across 10 currencies.
We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our team in a client facing sales role, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.
In this role you will:

  • Work with our Commercial Banking (CMB) clients within the Large Corporates (LC) and Mid-Market Enterprise (MME) segment to sell Money Market Funds / Liquidity investment opportunities.

  • Manage a defined portfolio client base to ensure effective retention of assets and proactively explore growth opportunities of the portfolio.

  • Work towards achieving an individual sales targets and demonstrate desire and ambition to outperform these.

  • Establish collaborative relationships with CMB Relationship Directors and other internal channel partners, including GLCM, Global Markets and external partners including Third Party Portals and Platforms.

  • Partner with product management to identify product gaps or enhancement ideas and contribute to development of long-term vision/product strategy of the liquidity business.

    To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Have a thorough understanding of the knowledge of commercial banking and the liquidity products that they utilise.

  • An understanding of treasury/cash/short-term investment management products is desirable.

  • Commercially astute - be able to read, understand and interpret balance sheets, P&L's and other complex commercial information.

  • Highly developed stakeholder management skills - able to engender credibility and be viewed as a trusted advisor.

  • Evidence of success operating at senior levels in a consultative sales role within a Financial Service / Commercial Banking setting


  • This role is based in HSBC office at 8 Canada Square London you should be able to travel to London on a weekly basis. The role will involve occasional travel for client meetings and other role related reasons.
