Full Job Description

BAE Systems offers a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements; however, during the Industrial Placement programme, you are expected to attend your site 3-4 days per week. The function contains 2 disciplines, and you will experience both during your time on the graduate scheme:

  • Contracts: This discipline disseminates Commercial policies and processes, delivers effective management of contracts, and supports the generation of bids and proposals to Customers that are priced, developed, and approved within the Business.
  • Estimating: This discipline produces and collates cost estimates for determining bid prices and estimates to complete contract work. The estimating activity includes business winning and contract execution phases., Preparing and drafting commercial bids and proposals.
  • Supporting contract and price negotiations, customer audits, fact-finds, and contract closure with key internal/external customers.
  • Administration and preparation of data to support Senior Management Reviews.
  • Maintaining awareness of Governance processes and best commercial and governance practices.
  • Interpreting contract requirements (including but not limited to terms and conditions).
  • Validation or challenge of functional estimate returns through the compilation of independent views to drive affordable and profitable solutions.

    As a minimum requirement, you'll need to be on track to obtain a 2.2 in your Bachelor's or Master's degree. All subjects are considered for this role.
