Full Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manager with a specialist medical education knowledge to join a dynamic team and work closely with enthusiastic education leads to support undergraduate education provision within multi-site trust.

As a member of senior education team, you will oversee a delivery of high-quality, effective medical education service in line with the requirements of the Imperial College, Brunel Medical School and national standards.

The post holder will fulfil a key role leading on the development and management of the undergraduate teaching co-ordinators, working closely with undergraduate and PA leads, teaching fellows and clinical skills tutor, as well as wide range of colleagues within the department and across the whole organisation.

Ther role reports to the Head of Medical Education and works closely with Director of Clinical Studies and Director of Undergraduate Education who fulfil responsibilities of overseeing undergraduate medical education provision in the trust for one of the two medical school that currently have clinical placement provision agreements: Imperial College and Brunel Medical School. The role will also support PA Lead who oversees clinical placement provision for PA students from Brunel University London., · Responsible for undergraduate medical education services across the organisation, including planning, delivery, and evaluation of professional teaching activities, induction and skills training for medical students from Imperial College School of Medicine and medical and PA students from Brunel Medical School.

· Provide specialist knowledge and advice and guidance on undergraduate medical education related matters for all medical and PA students and undergraduate and PA lead clinicians in the Trust.

· Responsible for ensuring excellent and effective communications involving a range of professionals and organisations to ensure that education objectives and strategies are fulfilled. This involves providing and receiving complex, sensitive information to act on and communicate to others with considerable tact and caution, decision making, consultation, challenging ideas, influencing, persuading, motivating and negotiating.

· To support the development and manage the implementation of UG education with guidance from the Director of Clinical Studies and Director of Undergraduate Education. This includes the development of robust systems for the on-going evaluation of teaching programmes for both training and updating clinical skills of healthcare professionals within the Trust.
