Full Job Description

As an Undergraduate Electromagnetic Compatibility Engineer, you will be joining a small specialist team of engineers responsible for setting electromagnetic requirements for design teams and undertaking specialist testing of systems, subsystems, and components in our specialist EMC facility to demonstrate and achieve contractual compliance for EMC design.,

  • Specify and manage EMC requirements and acceptance criteria specific to a system, platforms, or programmes.
  • Advising design teams on EMC requirements and design for EMC considerations.
  • Liaising with EMC test engineers to design and specify testing regimes to prove system compliance against relevant standards.
  • Performing and reporting on tests undertaken on systems to demonstrate compliance against relevant standards.

    As a minimum requirement, you'll need to be on track to obtain a 2.2 in your Bachelor's or Master's degree in either Electronic Engineering, Physics, or Maths. Knowledge of wave propagation and electromagnetic interference with electronics would be beneficial.

All applicants must, as a minimum, achieve the Baseline Personnel Security Standard.
