Full Job Description

The primary purpose of the Undergraduate Manager role is to create an exceptional learning environment for medical students at the Trust, ensuring they receive the best possible educational experience during their time at either Frimley Hospital or Wexham Hospital. This involves meticulous management of administrative details such as accurate timetabling, smooth inductions, and prompt issue of ID cards and parking permits. Beyond these logistical aspects, the role also carries significant responsibilities in educational governance. By liaising closely with external university partners and internal stakeholders, the Undergraduate Manager plays an instrumental role in shaping the educational strategy and quality of the programs. The role operates within the challenging landscape of frontline NHS hospitals and thus requires effective teamwork, strategic planning, and a focus on creating an enriching and supportive educational setting for future healthcare professionals. The Undergraduate
Manager needs to be the subject matter expert in all things pertaining to the clinical placement of Medical Students.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated person to join the Medical Education team as the Undergraduate Manager for Frimley Park Hospital.
You will create an exceptional learning environment for medical students at the Trust, ensuring they receive the best possible educational experience during their time on placement. This involves meticulous management of administrative details such as accurate timetabling, smooth inductions, and prompt issue of ID cards and parking permits, as well as assigning accommodation.
The post holder must have the ability to work as part of a team as well as being able to work autonomously. The role requires an ability to act as an expert resource and subject matter expert for the clinical placement of Medical Students, with a flexible and adaptable approach, responding to the demands within the Trust.
