Underwriting Manager - International Property (Part-Time, Job-Share, Full-Time)

Are you an experienced International / Wholesale Property underwriter looking for that next step in your career? You'll play a pivotal role in leading and managing the International property underwriting team. You'll be responsible for driving underwriting excellence, developing strategies to achieve profitable growth, and ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines and best practices. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced underwriter to take on a leadership role and contribute to the success of our Commercial Insurance business. . What will you be doing? As the Property underwriting manager, some of your responsibilities will include:

• Lead and manage a team of International property underwriters, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
• Develop and implement underwriting strategies to achieve business objectives and profitable growth within the International Property segment.
• Provide technical underwriting support and training to team members.
• Ensure adherence to underwriting guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with other departments, including claims, risk engineering, and sales, to deliver comprehensive inurance solutions to clients.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance underwriting processes and efficiency.
  
  Proven experience in International property / Wholesale Property underwriting, preferably within the commercial insurance sector.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of property insurance products, underwriting principles, and risk assessment techniques.
• Excellent portfolio management skills and decision-making abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Professional qualifications in insurance (e.g., ACII) are highly desirable.
