Full Job Description

Surrey Police are looking to recruit a Uniform Services assistant to assist with the Uniform Services provided to Surrey & Sussex Police.

The role is introduced to ensure officers and staff have the correct uniform and equipment, and that uniform and equipment is ordered and distributed to the end user within agreed SLAs.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Picking and packing orders

  • Providing fitting services and advice

  • Ordering goods

  • Stock taking

  • Warehouse Duties

    The successful applicants will be working in a warehouse environment and must be capable of lifting boxes on and off shelves. They must be able to communicate with staff and suppliers alike with both good written and verbal communication skills. Given the volume of orders received, the individual must be able to organize their time well and balance incoming demands with proactive resourcing and stock management. The individual must be able to work well under pressure. Full details of the role are included in the attached role profile.

    The starting salary for this role will usually be at the bottom of the salary range and will be pro-rata if the working hours are less than full time.
