Full Job Description
The API Developer will work as part of the Business World team to support the Unit 4 ERP system (Internally known as Business World) and maintain and improve the quality and integrity of the data, as well as improve the impact of the efficiency, reporting and effectiveness of the system as a whole.
The API Developer will be responsible for working with key business stakeholders, to establish areas of integration with other systems. They will work with the stakeholders to establish the requirements, manage these within projects, test and build the solutions. They will also need to work with third parties to establish possible dataflow between systems.
The role requires the candidate to have a strong knowledge of Unit 4 ERP API and Extension Toolkit along with a combination of system, analytical and personal skills to optimise the system and develop it as part of the wider team, for current and future business needs.
The role will also require working with other members of the team to help to upskill their knowledge of Extension Toolkits and Unit 4 API.
+ Understanding of SQL or other coding principles / language for purposes of supporting an ERP system
+ Strong experience working with REST APIs, integrations (JSON/XML, SOAP), and low-code/no-code platforms, particularly the Unit4 Extension kit Tool
+ An understanding of data controls and reflecting these through workflows and controls on systems
+ Self-driven, independent worker who is also a strong team player with a customer-oriented mindset
+ Good time management, able to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
