Unit Manager

You will form part of the hospitals leadership team and will join a team motivated by providing the highest level of treatment, care and service provision. You will be responsible for ensuring your team possess the skills, knowledge and motivation to meet the high level of care expected. You will report to the Clinical Lead Manager and be responsible for the smooth administration of the ward.

We are currently recruiting a Unit Manager who must be a qualified Mental Health Nurse or clinically qualified equivalent.

The right candidate would have been in a senior nurse role and within that time developed strong team leadership skills. We are looking for a professional who values psychological approaches to treatment and can bring the MDT together to provide the highest level of care. Person centred care is at the core of our ethos at Heatherwood, and the correct candidate will have experience in engaging the patient and allowing them ownership and control in their treatment pathway.

Purpose-built, Heatherwood Court provides mental health treatment in both low secure and locked environments

Located in countryside close to Cardiff, Heatherwood Court offers accommodation across four single-gender units.

Opened in 2008, Heatherwood Court provides care, treatment and rehabilitation for individuals who meet the following criteria:

Adults with severe and enduring mental illness requiring a low secure environment

Male and female mentally disordered offenders requiring a low secure environment

Women with mental health needs and personality disorders requiring a locked ward
