Full Job Description

The post holder will be responsible for clinical day to day management of the Pre-Assessment service & be responsible for the main Pre-assessment Nursing team at The James Cook University Hospital & Friarage Hospital. The manager would be required to work collaboratively with all pre-assessment services Trust wide.The successful post holder will need to adopt a visible and accessible approach for patients, their relatives, carers and staff and will require cross site working co-ordinating teams to help improve performance at all levels.Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, clinical expertise and knowledge. Possess transformational and innovative leadership skills, have the ability to work using their own initiative, and to work as part of a team.The successful candidate is required to possess excellent clinical, communication, clinical and organisational skills., This role is key in helping meet the challenges of co-ordinating new and multiple patient pathways through the perioperative medicine clinic whilst optimising efficiency and productivity whilst maintaining both patient safety and an excellent patient experience.If you are a practicing level 1 registered nurse & think you have the skills and passion to make a difference, then we would like to hear from you.

Leading innovation and improvement strategies

Optimisation of nurse staffing resources to clinics

Assurrance of quality patient care

Promotion of a positive patient experience

Participate in research and audit as required.

Develop education and training strategies in pre-operative care for all team members.
