Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Outpatient Department in MREH as a Band 7 Full-time Unit Manager.The unit operates Monday- Saturday service where patient are reviewed for routine, urgent, post op, Laser Treatment and elective eye conditions to provide and deliver high-quality, effective, safe care in a well-led service., As part of the role you are expected to Lead and Manage the team of staff within the department. This includes appraisals mandatory training compliance and ensuring a positive staff experience.

This is a very busy environment with a variety of complex eye cases and will require an Individual who is able to adapt and work in a challenging environment. The successful candidate must possess excellent communication, organization and leadership skills with essential understanding of budget saving and finance.

The post holder will assess, implement, plan and evaluate the delivery of direct patient care. The role involves collaboration with the Matron ensuring delivery of high caliber care and efficient use of facilities, personnel and other resources.

We are committed to delivering high standard of Multi displinary patient focused care. The post holder will be an integral part of this process and will be essential to improving service delivery. The post holder will be expected to over offsite areas., If you are a dedicated, energetic individual and have excellent communication skills with a passion for the delivery of OPD care we would like you to apply.

You will be expected to develop your scope of practice within local Trust guideline and policies. You will demonstrate an enthusiastic approach to care delivery and service improvement in order to work in this highly desirable area with a proactive multidisciplinary team.
