- Ensure flawless execution of governance processes, adhering strictly to regulatory requirements.
- Act as the primary liaison between the executive and non-executive teams, encouraging collaboration and cohesion.
- Coordinate the development and implementation of governance policies that support our ambitious strategic goals.
- Provide expert advice to senior management on legal, regulatory, and compliance and audit matters.
- Successfully implement systems and frameworks to manage institutional risk while seizing growth opportunities.
- Support the University's mission to compete on a global stage through robust governance practices.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team to deliver outstanding administrative support across the institution.
- Facilitate the smooth operation of the University's governing bodies, including Council, Senate and their Committees.
To succeed in this role you'll need: - A proven track record in a senior governance or administrative role within higher education or a similarly complex organisation.
- Outstanding knowledge of governance frameworks, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to foster an inclusive and collaborative environment.
- Excellent organisational and project management abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities with precision.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, able to articulate complex issues clearly and persuasively.
- A dedication to the values of the University of Bath, including excellence, inclusion, and innovation.
- Relevant qualifications in governance, law, or a related field are highly desirable.
