Full Job Description

  • Ensure flawless execution of governance processes, adhering strictly to regulatory requirements.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the executive and non-executive teams, encouraging collaboration and cohesion.
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of governance policies that support our ambitious strategic goals.
  • Provide expert advice to senior management on legal, regulatory, and compliance and audit matters.
  • Successfully implement systems and frameworks to manage institutional risk while seizing growth opportunities.
  • Support the University's mission to compete on a global stage through robust governance practices.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team to deliver outstanding administrative support across the institution.
  • Facilitate the smooth operation of the University's governing bodies, including Council, Senate and their Committees.

    To succeed in this role, you'll need:
  • A proven track record in a senior governance or administrative role within higher education or a similarly complex organisation.
  • Outstanding knowledge of governance frameworks, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to foster an inclusive and collaborative environment.
  • Excellent organisational and project management abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities with precision.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, able to articulate complex issues clearly and persuasively.

  • Relevant qualifications in governance, law, or a related field are highly desirable.
