Full Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team. This role will primarily involve providing support to the legal team in conducting legal research, managing legal documents, and assisting with administrative tasks. Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research and summarize findings for the legal team.
  • Assist with the preparation and organization of legal documents, such as contracts and agreements.
  • Manage and maintain the legal department's database and filing system.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including drafting correspondence, scheduling meetings, and maintaining calendars.
  • Coordinate legal team meetings and maintain meeting minutes.
  • Assist with the coordination and preparation of legal presentations and workshops.
  • Stay updated on legal and regulatory developments related to blockchain technology and climate change., You will hone or learn new skills including research, presentation, writing, professional etiquette,

In the selection process, most candidates will be invited to complete the following assessment. Section A: Verbal and Numerical Reasoning (20 multiple-choice questions) Section B: Situation Judgement Test (20 multiple-choice questions) Section C: In-Tray Exercise (An open-ended assessment relevant to the duties of the role)

  • Bachelor's degree in law or a related field.

  • Excellent English writing skills, including the ability to develop effective working relationships, work flexibly across professional and operational boundaries, and communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders at all levels;
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with legal research databases and tools.
  • Knowledge of blockchain technology and/or climate change is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a legal or administrative role is a plus.
  • General & Specialist Knowledge
  • Strong interest in topics central to BCI, such as climate change, climate finance and blockchain technology
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
