EdEx are exclusively working with a mainstream secondary school in Waltham Forest (East London) to find x2 Teaching Assistants (Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant - Exceptional Training!) to work in the schools Speech, Communication and Language provision, supporting children with various needs including Speech and Language, Communication, Social, Autism (Verbal and Non-Verbal) needs & more!

  • Opportunity to take part and lead specialist interventions in; Lego Therapy, Speech and Language, Zones of Regulation & more!

  • Work closely with specialist Teachers, Therapists & Psychologists to best support secondary aged pupils with various needs

  • Receive training and support from day one - with no day being the same, working across Key Stage 3 - Key Stage 5!

  • Support various students with wide-ranging needs 1-2-1 and in small groups, inside and outside of the classrooms, A highly-regarded mainstream secondary school in Waltham Forest (East London)

    A graduate with a 1^st Class or 2:1 - subject isn't a barrier, ideally from a reputable university

  • Good A-Levels and GCSEs - including English at GCSE

  • Previous experience supporting children, young people or adolescents - Essential


  • This can be tutoring, nannying, babysitting, volunteering or personal experience!

    Must be able to speak confidently and calmly - personality is everything in these roles!

  • Monday to Friday - No weekends

  • School Hours - typically 8:30am - 4:00pm

  • £105 - £110 per day - paid weekly (Term Time Only)

  • September 2024 / ASAP Starts

  • Long term contract - at least for an academic year - Sept 24 - July 25 (scope for a permanent contract if interested from Sept 25)
