Cover Supervisor positions are currently available for immediate start in Connahs Quay. Are you passionate about education and looking for a rewarding role within a dynamic school environment? This is an ideal opportunity for a graduate considering applying for a Teacher Training course in September 2025. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of lessons in the absence of the regular class teacher. Your role will involve delivering pre-prepared lessons, maintaining classroom order, and providing essential support to students across a variety of subjects. The ideal Cover Supervisor will have excellent communication skills, strong classroom management abilities, and a passion for education.,

Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor:
• Supervise classes and deliver pre-prepared lessons in the absence of a teacher
• Ensure that students are engaged, motivated and on task
• Manage any behaviour issues that may arise
• Follow school policies and procedures
• Maintain accurate records of student progress
Requirements of a Cover Supervisor


• A degree or Level 3 qualification with solid standards of literacy and numeracy
• Experience working or volunteering with children or young people
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to manage behaviour effectively
• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn
• Flexibility and adaptability
Registrations required to be a Cover Supervisor:
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, but if you do not have one, you can apply for a new one through Educate.
  
  You must register with the EWC (Education Workforce Council) to work in Wales.
