Full Job Description

To work alongside the senior Upper GI Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialists to provide appropriate specialist advice, support and education to patients throughout the Upper GI. Cancer pathways, from diagnosis to treatment or onward referral to the tertiary centres.
To play a supporting role within the Upper GI Cancer team providing: specialist information; high quality care; assessment, advice and support for those patients on a suspected Upper GI cancer pathway having investigative procedures and eventual diagnosis and treatment of an Upper GI cancer. This will extend to their families / carers and other Health Care Professionals both internal and external to the Trust, which will promote a seamless service within a multi-professional framework.
To ensure the quality of care to patients is maximised by establishing strong communication links with specialist multidisciplinary teams at Liverpool.
