Full Job Description
Our client school in Barking, London is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Upper KS2 Teacher to join their reputable primary school from January 2025. The successful candidate will be passionate about education and have a proven track record of delivering excellent teaching in an Upper KS2 setting. As an Upper KS2 Teacher, you will work collaboratively with the school team to ensure that all students receive a positive and engaging learning experience. Upper KS2 Teacher Responsibilities:
- Lesson Planning & Delivery: Plan and deliver exciting and engaging lessons that challenge and inspire Upper KS2 students to reach their full potential.
- Monitoring & Assessment: Regularly monitor and assess students' progress, maintaining accurate records of academic performance.
- Positive Learning Environment: Create a classroom atmosphere that is both safe and conducive to learning, ensuring that students are motivated and confident.
- Collaboration: Work closely with school management, teaching staff, and parents to provide quality academic support and ensure students' needs are met.
- School Activities: Prepare for and participate in school-related activities such as performances, events, and parent/teacher meetings.
- Safeguarding: Adhere to safeguarding policies and promote the welfare of all children.
- Classroom Management: Use a variety of effective classroom management strategies to maintain an orderly and safe learning environment.
Experience: Proven experience teaching Upper KS2 in a primary or secondary school setting. - Qualifications: QTS or equivalent, with a Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant field.
- Classroom Management: Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to engage and motivate learners.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with parents, staff, and students.
- National Curriculum Knowledge: Sound knowledge of the National Curriculum and its practical application in the classroom.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt teaching styles to accommodate different learning styles.
