Full Job Description

AtkinsRéalis is seeking enthusiastic and skilled Urban Designers/Masterplanners to join our central London studio. Please upload your up-to-date portfolio along with your CV, for us to process your application thoroughly. You will play a pivotal role in a dynamic team and have the opportunities to:

  • Support in the production of pioneering urban design and masterplanning projects with varied scales and complexities on a local, national and international scale.
  • Collaborate with and project manage a diverse team of building design professionals, economists and commercial managers to create and refine masterplans that align with clients' ambitions.
  • Prepare visual presentations and reports to communicate masterplanning concepts to clients and stakeholders.
  • Support in the preparation of technical bids and fee proposals for masterplanning and urban design projects and other major infrastructure opportunities.
  • Be part of a vibrant, collaborative and innovative team, where careers and aspirations are fully supported.
  • Support junior team members to develop and grow their core skills.
  • Participate and contribute to the activities of the wider studio., Our work has a strong focus on creativity, innovation and design, and we place value on the means by which concepts and proposals are described and represented. With this in mind, please clearly set out your full IT skills and experience, ranging from CAD to GIS, Adobe to 3D or any other technical or graphic approach you employ in your work.

    Master's degree in urban design or comparable qualification and experience, with a preferable first degree in architecture or landscape architecture.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and stakeholder engagement, both written and spoken.
  • Proven ability to work directly with clients and other consultants.
  • A strong portfolio with excellent creative design and graphic skills is essential. Advanced levels of Adobe Suite skills, AutoCAD, and SektchUp are required.
  • GIS mapping skills, BIM related software, knowledge of UK Planning system and experience in supporting development framework and planning applications are advantages.
  • When circumstances permit, be available to travel across the UK when required.
  • The ability to work away from home in the UK or internationally would be of benefit.
