Full Job Description

This is an exciting time to join the service as we are recruiting to expand our amazing team.

The Nottingham CityCare Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) is a Clinician-led service that provides assessment and treatment to people with urgent but not life-threatening health problems.

These posts will suit enthusiastic, driven, motivated and flexible Registered Health Care Professionals with demonstrable experience of working in an independent practitioner role in a first contact environment. The post holder will be required to engage in CPD including a mix of self-directed learning and mentored practice supported by internally and externally taught training.

Applications will be considered from those looking for full or part time employment. There is a requirement for flexible 365 day working with shift works covering 0645am to 10pm daily.

As an autonomous practitioner, you will assess patients who present with urgent but not life-threatening illness and injury plan their care, administer treatment on site and discharge supported by senior colleagues where required. Where on site treatment is not appropriate you will refer to other healthcare professionals / external agencies., The UTC is a training environment where employed practitioners will support the development of all disciplines of health care professionals including student nurses, pharmacists, GP SpR, medical students and paramedics.

The post holder will manage an Urgent Care Caseload within a multi-professional clinician led environment, dealing with a wide range of presenting undifferentiated conditions.

The post holder will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians with acute and primary care first contact experience. E.g. Nurses, Health Care Support Workers, Emergency Care Practitioners, Radiographers, and Paediatric Nurses to make up the team of the day working collectively in the assessment of undifferentiated urgent care patient presentations.

To work with the CityCare multidisciplinary team in provision of primary healthcare to residents and visitors to Nottinghamshire.
