Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commissioning Manager to join the Urgent and Emergency Care Team on a permanent basis.
As an Urgent Care Commissioning Manager, you will support the Urgent Care Senior Commissioning Manager and Head of Urgent and Emergency Care in driving forward the strategic development and commissioning of urgent care services within Joined Up Care Derbyshire.
Interviews will be held face to face at Derby Council House on Wednesday, 16th October., + Leading the development and management of key dashboards and relevant reporting for assurance and financial recovery;
+ Leading specific projects and the development of projects within recovery plans/priorities for Urgent and Emergency Care;
+ Leading specific pieces of work to review services and ensure that we are commissioning for the needs of our population;
+ Working in partnership with others across the Derby and Derbyshire Integrated Care System (ICS) to meet the challenging transformation agenda;
+ Leading the production of documentation to the expected standard and report against milestones and delivery of current and future projects;
+ Deputising for Senior Commissioning Manager (and other team members where appropriate) at appropriate level meetings including chairing where appropriate;
+ Implementation and co-ordination of strategy;
+ Line management of appropriate team members as required;
+ Engender matrix working across the team and with other teams within the Integrated Care Board (ICB);
+ Working across the system to align workloads of the team and ensure key projects are prioritised.

The successful candidate will be experienced in transforming services with excellent project management skills. The role involves extensive working with clinicians and colleagues from across the health system, so the successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate the ability to work and communicate with a broad range of stakeholders including the ability to negotiate on difficult issues.
Most importantly, you will bring enthusiasm, excellent communication and influencing skills and have a genuine passion for improving the experience and services for patients in Derbyshire.
Based at either Chesterfield or Derby, there will be a requirement for travel within the Derbyshire region. The team are currently working in a hybrid model of home and office-based working.
