Full Job Description

You will be the Programme Lead and support with the strategic development and embedding of the Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC), working in conjunction with the ED Management and clinical teams, the ICB and the Flow Directorate. This role will be responsible for the UTCs across all 3 sites and will be expected to facilitate improved processes within the teams in order to deliver the UTC standards. This will require cross site working across Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells and Sevenoaks sites., The main duties of this job, includes but is not limited to;

  • Work in partnership with the General Manager and Deputy General Manager to assist leadership within the Directorate; developing, managing and delivering high quality responsive and effective services in line with the Trust's strategic direction.
  • Work closely with Matrons, Clinical Managers and other senior clinical and technical staff in managing services, both within the acute trust, the community trust and the ICB.
  • Be accountable for specific aspects of the Emergency Medicine Directorate to ensure resources are effectively used and agreed performance targets are achieved.
  • In addition to the day-to-day management of the services, key responsibilities include taking a lead role in delivering the following performance areas: -
  • UTC standards are met across all sitesReliable data is obtained and circulated on UTC activityWorking with agreed budget and identifying future costs of resources and service developments
  • Close working with administrative and clerical staff within all UTC sites
  • Service reconfiguration
  • Be responsible for the service performance within the UTC itself and the admin and clerical staff involved.
