Full Job Description

The Urogynaecology Nurse is a highly experienced, knowledgeable and educated member of the team who is able to work autonomously making high level decisions to treat health needs, encompassing aspects of education, research and management but are firmly grounded in direct care provision or clinical work with patients, families and populations, In collaboration with Urogynaecology team provide specialist support to the development, reviewing and updating of protocols, guidelines and patient information leaflets within the unit and ensure they reflect evidence-based practice.To work collaboratively with colleagues, patients and families, seek their views and to develop and improve practice and the service

Attains competence in diagnostic procedures to provide treatment for women with pelvic floor dysfunction and associated conditions.

Maintains competence as a certified Urogynaecology support nurse working with support and supervision as required by the lead clinicians.

Participate in the management of post-natal voiding dysfunction

Advises women of any required follow up and implications
