Full Job Description

1. As a urogynaecology nurse in diagnostic clinics, your main duties involve assessing and managing patients with pelvic floor disorders such as incontinence and prolapse. You will perform detailed patient assessments, taking medical histories, and conducting specialized diagnostic tests like urodynamic studies, bladder scanning, and pelvic floor assessments. Based on these findings, you'll interpret results to help guide diagnosis and treatment decisions.
In addition to diagnostics, you will educate patients on managing their conditions through lifestyle changes, pelvic floor exercises, and bladder training. Developing individualized care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, you will also monitor patients' progress during follow-up appointments, adjusting treatment as necessary.
Your role also includes supporting patients through pre- and post-operative care, ensuring they understand their treatment options, and helping them through recovery. Maintaining accurate records and collaborating closely with urogynaecologists and physiotherapists are essential to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care.
