Full Job Description
An opportunity has arisen to join our Urology Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist team to deliver care and support to patients diagnosed with Urological cancers. The post is a developmental post dependent on experience.
Key areas of the job will encompass patient care, research, clinical teaching, leadership and personal development., The post holder will provide specialist, autonomous care, support and advice to all patients and disciplines through evidence-based practice including: General Practitioners, Community Teams and Inpatient ward areas. The post holder will also work alongside senior and junior medical staff within urology ensuring a quality driven service. The post holder will assist with the triaging of Urology referrals. They will audit all aspects of patient care they provide within the Urology department, in adherence to recognised Trust and National guidelines/protocols. The post holder will remain clinically based undertaking Nurse led clinics including Flexible Cystoscopies, Assessment of Lower Urinary Tract infections, Self-catheterization, Urodynamics and administration of Intravesical therapies
