Full Job Description
Join us in leading the way at Cheltenham General Hospital Urology Department, now located in a state-of-the-art facility featuring 10 clinic rooms. Here, collaboration is key, with Consultants, Administration and the Managerial team all working side by side.,
- Supporting patients with confirmed Bladder, Renal and Testicular Cancers
- Acts as a source of support and information for patients with confirmed cancer
- Refer for testing where appropriate as part of surveillance protocols
- Refer for Senior review where straight to test is not appropriate or there is a change in their condition
- Share test results patients and explain the next steps of investigation or treatment
- Undertakes research activities and leads clinical audits in own specialist area.
- Communicates with a range other staff of all disciplines, acting as a highly specialist resource including liaison with health care providers both within and outside of the Trust regarding diagnosis and treatment advice.
We're looking for a Urology Clinical Nurse Specialist to support patients through their initial assessment, diagnostic testing, treatment and follow up for bladder renal, penile and testicular cancers.
