Full Job Description

We are looking for a motivated Technical Coordinator to join our team based at Crossness Sewage Treatment Works operating and maintaining approx.230 Wastewater Sewage Pumping Stations in the surrounding area.

You'll be working alongside another technical coordinator and your focus will be on proactive site analysis, this means that you will be looking at things that can improve or optimise pumping station performance.

What you'll be doing as a Technical Coordinator

+ Effectively manage the reactive workload for your team.
+ Work with framework contractors to deliver complex mechanical or electrical projects.
+ Provide technical support to your team and colleagues.
+ Analysing SCADA trends and carrying out analysis on this data to provide insight into asset behaviours, is to drive continuous improvement.
+ Develop the asset risk profile and build business cases to secure capital investment.
+ Working with stakeholders to build relationships.
+ Working with multiple teams to help reduce the risk of pollution to the environment.

This role is based in Crossness, SE2 9AQ, but covers a wide geographical area around South London, so a willingness to move around day to day is essential.

Working hours: Monday to Friday. (36 hours per week), This is a diverse and fast-paced role where no two days will be the same. It provides a fantastic opportunity to think differently about how we ensure the reliability and resilience of our assets, whilst developing our people and driving a sustainable operating model.

You will gain a wealth of exposure to the wider business in the largest Water and Wastewater Company in the UK. You will work with leaders from across the business, contractors, and colleagues alike, ensuring health and safety are at the forefront of our work.

+ Mechanical or Electrical engineering background will be essential for this role.
+ Experience in wastewater pumping will be essential for this role.
+ Experience in managing contractors is essential.
+ Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and application.
+ Able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision and be proactive.
+ Good IT skills including the use of PowerPoint and Excel.
+ Good problem-solving skills and ability to think outside the box.
+ Be able to talk comfortably in front of customers and colleagues.
+ You will have a passion for driving positive behaviours throughout your region and a willingness to help the team meet stretching operational targets.
+ Due to the nature of the role, a full UK Driving license is required.

+ Competitive salary up to £45,000 per annum depending on your level of experience.
+ Annual Leave - 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with the length of service. (Plus bank holidays)
