Full Job Description

The main purpose of this role will be to assess and verify data from several corporate systems, and then draw conclusions about the regulatory classification of flooding incidents.

The role will also require the root casual analysis of repeat incidents and full recommendations for operational works to alleviate and prevent external flooding.

+ Location -Reading Clearwater Court - RG1 8DB
+ Offering a salary up to £33,500 depending on skills and experience
+ Monday - Friday 36 hours per week
+ No experience is required as you will receive a full training plan!!

What you will be doing as a Flooding Data Coordinator?

As Sewer Flooding leads to customer misery and complaints. In AMP8, it will also have the potential to generate fines that have been projected to exceed £1bn pounds in fines (worst case uncapped scenario).

The External Sewer Flooding Coordinator role is responsible for supporting:

+ Shadow reporting for external flooding
+ Preparing the business fully for this to become a common performance commitment in AMP8 that has multi-million-pound ODIs associated with it
+ Take accountability for the completion of the Sewer Flooding Investigation report within the process timeline, ensuring the report is accurate and meets the required quality standards
+ Assist field services to complete their elements of the SF investigation report within the appropriate timeline by providing them with relevant information relating to the sewer flooding incident. This will help them to ensure their investigation closure submission meets the quality and accuracy requirements
+ Utilise all corporate systems to review customer history to determine the frequency of flooding/blockages to recommend the appropriate course of action to provide a resolution Ensure that the Sewer Flooding History database is updated in a timely manner
+ Review all Sewer Flooding questionnaires, verifying incidents of flooding and escalate repeat issues as appropriate
+ Coordinate and manage the flooding process after severe weather events
+ Complete audits on sewer flooding processes and data to ensure we are correctly reporting outputs to our regulators

+ Good knowledge of wastewater networks and drainage legislation
+ Good organisational skills
+ Basic knowledge of the regulatory aspects of the water industry
+ Good analytical, problem solving, reasoning and negotiating skills
+ Ability to concentrate for long periods and maintain accuracy/attention to detail
+ Sufficient writing skills to be able to write reports on flooding investigations
