The successful analyst will support the delivery of insight and analysis within the UK's largest Water and Wastewater Company. What you'll be doing as an Operations Data & Insight Analyst

Typical tasks in this role include building logic, automation of processes, reporting, providing analysis and insight, and working with tools such as SQL, PowerBI, Python and Azure data factory including Databricks to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

+ Working with large data sets drawn from a wide variety of internal and external sources; including environmental data, survey feedback and operational data.
+ Design and interrogation of databases; carrying out data transformations and liaising with the business to improve our ways of working.
+ Supporting the business and working with stakeholders to design, build, and maintain a range of visualisation dashboards and reports, managing stakeholder expectations.
+ Analyse data to derive insights and support decision-making processes.
+ Document ETL processes, data models, and report specifications for transparency and knowledge sharing.
+ Continuously monitor and optimize ETL processes and reporting capabilities.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate analysis findings effectively to stakeholders.

+ A keen attention to detail with highly effective organisation and prioritisation skills.
+ Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including senior management.
+ Essential to have a strong background and knowledge of working with databases, data analysis, and reporting or an in-depth understanding of operational data sets with a proven track record of quickly adapting to technical challenges.
+ Ability to learn new tools and techniques quickly and an appetite to stay up to date and adapt to new technologies.
+ Previous experience working within a utility company would be advantageous.
+ Advanced user and experience with Excel, PowerQuery, SQL and PowerBI.
+ Knowledge and experience of Python, R or other statistical languages, and experience in applying statistical models to inform data-led decisions would be an advantage.
+ Knowledge of building data pipelines working in Azure data factory would be an advantage.
+ Able to present and articulate complex information engagingly to different audiences.
+ Personable with excellent communication and relationship-building relations across all levels of the business.
+ A degree or equivalent within an analytical field (e.g. Science, Maths, Geographical disciplines) or substantial work experience in a similar type of role.

+ Offering between £37,600 to £45,000 per annum depending on skills and experience.
+ 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with the length of service. (Plus bank holidays)
