Full Job Description

Manage and own press office sample coordination, driving positive press coverage, building effective relationships and supporting the press team with events and ad-hoc projects. Management of the day to day running of the press office, including: press sample management, database management, reporting, industry research, production of media assets, event admin, media relations, creative ideas, contract admin and activation. Support the PR team in maintaining high-level positive media coverage and client support across all brands. Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and support in the smooth day-to-day running of the agency, providing enthusiastic, reliable and accurate support to the VARG team.
  • Management of press showroom and client samples - efficiently facilitating all press sample requests, dressing opportunities and gifting initiatives.
  • Complete ownership of press samples throughout the season for all clients, logging and tracking each sample loan accordingly.
  • Promptly handle all image requests - ensuring to share imagery and information in the requested and desired format.
  • Promptly and professionally respond to all press, client and team correspondence.
  • Press coverage management: manage all press clippings - collating, formatting and sharing with clients in an efficient manner - ensure editorial monitoring is always up-to-date and accurate.
  • Management of media databases, recognising and updating as and when required.
  • Collate weekly coverage reports, adding new coverage each day as it comes through, along with relevant statistics, insight and feedback.
  • Responsible for the management of newspapers and magazines, ensuring all titles are received, read - and all secured coverage and coverage opportunities flagged.
  • Responsible for maintaining an organised, neat and tidy press office and showroom.
  • Responsible for image libraries and ensuring all press imagery is up to date and labelled correctly.
  • Liaising with junior press, building strong working relationships. dealing with product and image requests quickly and effectively.
  • Facilitate and manage press and influencer gifting orders
  • Facilitate press loans from store as and when needed, ensuring the correct press loan procedure is adhered to for relevant client.
  • Supports and oversee press intern with press office administration.
  • Handling influencer outreach, from scouting to managing gifting orders and follow ups.
  • Support press office team in the coordination of seasonal press days and product launches throughout the year, ensuring all samples are present and all relevant teams are aware in advance of which samples are required for the event.

    Proven experience in fashion retail/PR/agency, with a minimum of 6-months post graduate experience in a similar role.
  • An understanding and keen interest of the Fashion PR Industry
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) skills
  • Good understanding of all social media channels and digital influencers
  • Experience in preparing and making presentations
  • Proactive and highly enthusiastic about the fashion industry, creative and can work well independently and as part of a vibrant busy team
  • Well organised with great time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal and experience in press release writing preferable
