This is an excellent opportunity for a well rounded and experienced Building Surveyor who can work on their own initiative and also has a proven ability to work well within a team. The role requires a working knowledge and understanding of current industry regulations, standards and best practice, Health and Safety legislation, statutory compliance requirements and an appreciation of carbon reduction techniques.

The successful candidate will have a high level of construction knowledge bringing an ability to respond to day to day issues providing on site technical solutions and support. They will have HNC/HND or equivalent qualifications in Construction/Building Surveying and ideally hold a professional membership with a relevant body. They will also will have a proven track record on Building Surveying matters including legislative compliance, best practice and specification development, design and contractor management.

With good communication skills being able to provide oral and written technical advice with clarity to both clients, consultants and contractors, the successful candidate will have experience of producing specifications, tender scopes, pricing documents, technical design and drawings.

The Force estate comprises over 80 buildings and includes a range of operational and specialist facilities. The role requires experience of managing and coordinating contractors to support multi discipline construction projects with an ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
