Full Job Description

AH Vehicle Logistics Ltd have already acquired new customers for 2025 and are looking to recruit trade plate vehicle collection and delivery drivers on a self-employed basis.

As a trade plate driver working with AH Vehicle Logistics Ltd you will be responsible for collecting and delivering both new and used vehicles all over the UK in a timely and professional manner. Your day is planned from our office by an experienced planning team and you will be supported by a team that have done the job themselves. Unlike other plating companies we pay a minimum of 50 miles not 80 miles, maximising your earning potential.

Your duties will include accurately appraising the vehicle on collection, noting any existing damage onto our bespoke app so an attention to detail is vital. A professional manner is required on delivery as a comprehensive vehicle handover is required, often with members of the public so smartness is of paramount importance at all times. Early starts can be expected as your first vehicle needs to be delivered by 08:30am Some long days can be expected too as we cover the whole of the UK.

Drivers are expected to plan their own routes in between jobs using public transport where necessary and every care is taken by the planning team to minimise this distance. Although our drivers pay for this travel themselves, some financial assistance is available depending on the individual circumstances.

You must possess the following:

Have held a full UK Licence for a minimum of 2 years with no more than 6 active penalty points (certain expired endorsements may require insurers approval prior to appointment).
Not been disqualified from driving for any reason in the last 5 years.
Be eligible to work in the UK.
The last vehicle you collect in the day is usually taken home to deliver early the next working day, so having off-road parking at your home address is essential.
You must be able to demonstrate an excellent level of customer care and courtesy when dealing with clients at all levels.
Be of smart appearance at all times, be disciplined and organised and possess excellent interpersonal skills for when dealing with customers and throughout your working day.
Due to the fact the we cover all of the UK, early starts and some late finishes can be expected.
Drivers are paid weekly every Friday following a completed week.

Full back-office support is provided by a team of staff that have all been trade plate drivers themselves.

Please include your current CV detailing any previous experience in this industry if applicable.

Initial telephone interviews will be held, then successful candidates will be invited to attend an induction.
