Vehicle Policy Support Manager

As Vehicle Policy Support Manager, you will play a key role providing support to the Vehicle Testing Policy Team, helping to plan, monitor and implement policy changes and Service improvements. This role is responsible for ensuring that tracking and governance processes are in place, acting as a point of contact with internal and external stakeholders for reporting, planning, change and delivery. The role provides a challenging and rewarding development opportunity and the chance to work with a diverse range of stakeholders and influence policy, to improve and shape the Service and guidance for DVSA customers. Responsibilities Will include but not be limited to:

• Using knowledge and experience to support policy deliverables/project work that has an impact on the Services, including new product implementation and the due diligence process. Monitor and report on progress including budgets and resource.
• Organising meetings and events e.g. customer and stakeholder meetings/events & user workshops including appropriate scheduling of resources, taking minutes, managing actions and helping the prioritisation of deliverables.
• Assisting in drafting reports and documentation, such as papers to Executive Committee and Directing Board.
• Responsibility for accuracy, timeliness & quality of the Vehicle Testing policy documentation, presentations and material. Liaising with internal and external customers to ensure timeliness are met.
